I used to strap my junk (ie, backpack, extra clothes, etc) to the oustide of my stand with bunjee cords. When I got my Summit Viper, I found an even easier way. After packing the top and bottom sections together, you then have to pull the back rest section back through the stand and strap it back to the top. This makes a convenient place to pack stuff. Just drop your junk between the back rest and the stand and then connect the little bunjees to the top as you already do. Sorry I don't have pictures, but Viper owners should know what I mean......
