I don't want to start anything with anybody but... why do alot of people shoot all of these tiny bucks?? I'm just wondering.
Well, I wish you would have chosen to generate a new thread rather than post this on a grats thread to an excited hunter over his first buck.
However, I can think of many reasons in response to your question. Some people don't have much time or a great area in which to hunt. Some have invested tremendous time and effort attempting to do things right and simply wish to enjoy a bit of a payoff now and then. Some wish to get a buck or two under their belts to calm future nerves at crunchtime when big boy presents an opportunity. Others simply make a 'game time' decision to take a small buck when the circumstances/shot are ideal, and some would simply rather come home with a buck than a doe/fawn. I'm sure there's countless other reasons as well, but the bottom line is they're free to do as they see fit. If it provides them enjoyment, soothes future nerves, puts meat in the freezer, or puts a smile on their face...so be it.
By the way, grats on your bucks guys, proud of you, happy for you, and delighted you're pursuing the sport.
