What you intimate that you cover in "The New Age Hunter" intrigues me. What sources did you investigate when collecting material for this book? Is it a strictly personal perspective? Did you look at some of the "big names" in hunting like Capstick or Ruark? Influential orgs like RMEF or NRA?
Thank you for your kind thoughts. I did quite a bit of research for the book The New Age Hunter. Sources include: Safari Club Int, NRA, Boone & Crocket, RMEF, Sierra Club, USDA, US Fish & Wildlife, Dept of the Interior, Teddy Roosevelt, Aldo Leopold, James Swan, The Archery Society, various scientists, educators, wildlife experts - spanning psychology, archeology, religion, history, science, ecology... , Southern Poverty Law Center, public opinion polls, Animal rights organizations, Eco-terrorist information... and the list goes on.
The New Age hunter is my perspective supported by information provided by the above entities. Topics include: Why We Hunt, Fair Chase & Ethics, The Conservation Movement, Wildlife Management, Ecosystem Approach, The Future of Hunting as well as its origins. It is meant to educate hunters about the important contributions hunters make to healthy and balanced wildlife populations - so that we may educate others. I believe this is especially important in the anti-hunting environment in which we live today - which is fueled by ignorance.
I apologize for the lengthy response but the book encompasses a lot of material.
Best regards
