i jus got a 7mm rem mag. i like it. im not going to say that it dont kick, but i dont think that it will kick anymore than a 270. i had a friend that shot a 243 and then shot my 30-06 and thought wow that kicks like a mule. but it jus took alittle gettin us to. now he shoots a 300 weatherby mag and it dont bother him. i think it jus takes a few shots. and most of it is in your head. but its all your personal choice. i personaly would shoot a 270 only if i knew that i wasnt going to shoot somthin bigger than deer. but i plan on goin for big game i want somthin with more knock down power. hope this helps
