boy you sound just like me!! well i have a lab, and he doesn't point, but anyways. we shot our first rooster and showed him the bird. he picked it up by the wing, and dropped it right away. second rooster we shot, we figured we'd have to go find it first then try to get him to pick it up, but we were talking back n forth saying there are prolly more roosters, out of the corner of my eye i see him runnin out to where the bird went and he picked it up and he brought it back right to our feet. boy like you said i could've cared less if we didn't see another bird after that.
