The rem model 7 also comes in a .260 which is realy a great deer round. Based on a .243 case it works real well. I picked up a model 7 in .260 and it is really a sweet little gun. JMO but the 25-06, .243 are right at the bottom end of rounds that you can easily get 120gr. rounds for, which I feel is right near the entry Gr. size for a Deer round. If your a reloader then this round might be even more attractive.
