I bought a 25-06 about a month ago. IMHO the 25-06 is a far better deer cartridge than the 243. The recoil is very minimal. The accuracy is great in my rifle.
My wife was not all warm & fuzzy about me buying another new rifle, until she shot this one. She LOVES it. I bought my 25-06 as a antelope, deer & coyote rifle. My wife told me it was her's after she shot a mule deer doe & whitetail doe with it. She says "this thing does not kick & it kills them quick."
