Another new guy
Hi everyone. Like LINE, I'm new to the IBO and have a few questions. I plan on shooting as many of the Pennsylvania events as possible in 2005, but was wondering about equipment and shooter classes.
I shoot a Matthews Outback 70lb 28.5 draw in a pretty typical hunting setup. What are some recommendations about arrows....brands....weight...fletching helical or straight...etc. For a rest I use a Whisker Biskuit. Even though the bow is incredibly accurate, I wonder if a the biskuit would cost me in a competition situation. Do most of you use fall away rests? Sights, I use a 3 pin set up.....is that enough or do I need 4 for competion? And finally I have a 5 inch stabilizer. I get arrow splitting accuracy with my current hunting setup, but don't want to hinder myself in competition.
As for shooter classes. I've seen alot of posts about hunter vs. money hunter. Apparently the only difference is 10 yards worth of maximum distance and money prizes....is that correct? Has most of the old HC shooters started shooting the MHC? Can I expect a difference in entry fees?
On a final thought...I signed up for my membership online about 2 weeks ago and havn't received the actual membership package in the mail. Is this normal or should I contact the IBO?
Thanks for any info.
