The guy that I took hunting is a friend of mine. He missed at 40 yards. He admitted that he needs to practice his yardage. The does had just moved through and he ran down the hill to their path. We hunt the late archery for mule deer. The tactic we use is to follow the does. Bucks just keep coming in, one right after the other. It is not uncommon to see 15-20 bucks in a day. We catch them rutting on the migration route. After elk hunting, this is one of my favorite hunts.
