Default RE: Using a light when calling

When calling, you really need two lights. You need one that is just bright enough to pick up the eyeshine of the coyote. A lens filter (red, blue, or amber) seems to help dim the light a little. I keep this light on constantly and shine around constantly. If you are spookiing them with the light, then you are using a light that is too bright. Then I use a bright light to shine when I'm ready to shoot. That allows me to make a positive target idendtification and make a good shot.

Some people like headlamps, some like scope mounts, but I just use regular handhelds.
