I just purchased the FFII, and like what I have. Smooth design, and I don't find the aforementioned problems---ie. tight adjustment or dusk vision illumination.

I would, however, consider if you're hunting in the rain at all. I'm almost regretting not getting an Elite with the Rainguard, after my last week of hunting...
