Default RE: Pecans?

I believe deer like pecans, but I KNOW that turkey love them. A turkey my father shot a couple seasons ago had WHOLE pecans in his craw. They weren't the biggest pecans, but still, pretty amazing for an animal with minimal neck girth. If I were you, I'd put them in a spot where you have maybe seen some mature bucks walking, but they have become wary of feeders. Just be ware that the plan may go to hell once a family of racoons or a group of hen turkeys stumbles upon your stash and demolishes it. If you want to be really tricky, locate a natural pecan grove where some deer might be feeding anyway, and deposit the Pecans along the fringe of it, withing range of a permenant, or popup blind.
Your backup plan would be, if it's a rainy weekend and you don't want to go hunt, make a ton of Pecan Pies!
