The grouse will be fine up to a year frozen, as long as you wrap it right. Put the grouse in a old pair of nylons. then wrap it real good in a plastic bag. Cut out the bottom of the nylon and the grouse will slide right out when you're ready to thaw it out. What books are you going to purchase? One of the better books on the market today is the Breakthrough Bird Taxidermy Manual, from Wasco's. Everything you'll need is in that book. It'll give you tips on what tools you'll need, plus indepth infromation about mounting a bird. It's well worth the price, and should be had by all newbies and old experts alike.
