Getting the itch for a new Ml, help !
I bought a T/C stainless Blck Diamond when they first came out and have been using it ever since. Have not experienced any trouble, use musket caps , 2 pellots of pyrodex and the black mag sabots Groups about an inch at 100 . I have hunted with this rifle in rain, show cold or hot it always goes bang.
I have heard or read many wonderful things about rifles shooting 209 primers and 150 grns of powder, long range etc. and was thinking I might get one(too many choices for a limited budget) so which one ? or do I really need a different rifle ?
I shot mine at the range in the rain last Tues and was able to kill one leiter bottles at 150 yds and shot a 2" group. Planning on going to North Mo. next Wed for the final 4 days of BP deer season (the weather is lousey up ther now and I'm old and can't take like I used too)
I guess what go me thinking was the neighbor showed me a Tc Omega and a Marlin model 50 he just traded for and the sure looked nice, he was heading out the door to hunt locally this afternoon.
What would you guys do, just use what I have or go into debt to get a rifle that shoots 209 primers?
