Default Scored a "2 Pointer" In NY 6R

I was the only member of or camp hunting today. I didnt see a thing all day until about 3:50. Spotted a deer at quite a distance then lost sight of it behind brush. About 10 minutes later it had worked its way to about 60 yards ahead of me near the corner of hemlocks and hardwood. I put the scope on it and saw it had horns. I had to let it go about another 10 yards to be in a position for a clear shot. I took the shot, the buck ran and at first I though I might have missed. After about 80 yards, he just slowed down then dropped! I waited about 15 minutes then went over to him. I discovered the buck had only one antler with 2 points. The other antler appeared to have been broken off some time ago (possibly while it was still in velvet or just beginning to grow). This left the buck with a small "knob" where the antler should have been. When I dressed the deer, I found my shot went right through the heart. The buck weighted around 130 (estimated) and had a full belly, plenty of fat and was in good condition. I think this buck was the same one I saw a little over a week ago when I was bowhunting.

Thanks to my Brother inlaw who I called to bring the 4 wheeler to help me bring him out.

Here my set up:
Ithaca M-37 With a Hastings Paradox Barrel.
Nikon Prostaff 2-7 Scope
Winchester 2 3/4" Sabots
Some Good Luck
Right Place, Right Time!

Good Luck Everybody!
