Mossbergs are great shotguns for the money. I had a model 500 for years and never once had a problem with it. As Savages are great rifles for the money, so are the Mossberg shotguns. My .2 worth :]

I echo the sentiment that if you're hunting in dirty country and you drop or bang up your shotgun, you'd feel pretty bad if it cost you 800.00 as opposed to 200.00.
