RE: Blown bow
I just read the thread on the PSE forum and it didn't seem out of line at all to me. On the other hand if you are the guy that was trashing him and accusing him you were out of line.
I think I am the one that suggested he post something on the PSE forums about it. Unfortunately he got the response I figured he would.
One of the staff shooters there commented on it being like a truck. If his truck broke down he wouldn't expect GM to give him a new one, just fix it. Well his bow didn't just break down or have a minor problem, it exploded and injured him and could have possibly injured someone around him when the arrow shattered. If my car blew up while I was sitting in it and I got injured you can bet your ass Dodge would be giving me a new one and paying for any other damage that occured.
And I don't care what these people say, if one of the staff shooters bows exploded PSE would be kissing thier butt and they would have a new bow the same freakin day, period.
I suggest your buddy looks at a Darton, Bowtech or Hoyt for his next bow. And that he and the salesman looks over the bow very well before he actually pays for it.
At the very least he should have gotten new limbs, axles, strings and cams out of it. Not just file down the cam and put it back on.
