TWalls,

I don't know if your from Delaware or how familiar you are with the Dover area or Fish & Wildlife. If F&W would do such a foolish thing, every Tom Dick and Harry would find out within 24hrs. I heard about courgar sightings about 4 yrs ago from a very close friend. There are a handful of people that have seen a courgar in Northern Kent/Southern New Castle. I didn't believe it! I called F&W and s/w with someone re the rumor. I was told there had been sightings and it was possible there was a courgar(s) in Delaware that might have escaped from a private owner and migrated from PA via the river or marsh area. Very easy to do for a cougar. If I remember correctly there was some talk on the local news and papers about courgar sightings 3-4 yrs ago.

What Delaware does have is a few Coyotes. Nobody wants to talk about them, but they are here & F&W knows it. When and if they take a foothold - look out. Those critters will prey upon anything that moves in the woods and a few pets now and then.

Best thing to do is call F&W in Dover and ask them about the courgar rumor.
