Wow, don't know how I missed this one!
Rugged country, kinda sounds like sheep and goat hunting in Alaska. I've done a fair bit of rock climbing and mountaineering and for folks that haven't enjoyed the tingle of some serious "exposure" where one mis-step could cost you your life, well ---- most don't know what they're missing --- it is not casual stuff. Now work in the rigors of a hunt in on top of it and that makes for quite the combo. Some serious leg, lung, and nerve work! Classic!
Your bowhunter guy is a real animal (compliment)! I'm guessing the stuff you did rifle wise would take me right to my ragged edge though I'm estimating your elevations are not too extreme (under 10,000 feet most the time?) which would help. You seem to have done it with reasonable ease. What a "backyard" you have to "play" in, and again I like your lack of game seasons.
BTW, nice writing style --- an exotic hunt!
