I own a model 94 30-30, but I don't have a scope mounted on it. I have thought about mounting one with the see-through mounts, since it raises the scope up quite a bit from the normal mounting position, thus making ejection easier. Any thoughts on this?

This is not my primary deer rifle. I brought a 30-06 this year for that purpose, but I'm thinking about mounting the scope on the 30-30 for my wife, or son to use. I did kill my first buck with the 30-30 yesterday.
