Default RE: Opinion on a gun

In my opinion mossbergs are the only shotguns i would turkey hunt with for a few reasons they are inexpensive and tough they will take a beating and come back for more and if you scratch or nick the fininsh no big deal. Now if you went into the woods with your 700 dollar browning gold and and got dirt in it or scratched or nicked the finish it would probably make you feel sick. I know i felt sick when I took my browning gold out the first time I slipped crossing a creek and it went into that muddy water got scratched all over the forearm and the bead on the barrel broke off. I so would have kicked my self in the butt if i could. after that I starting using my mossberg 500 again and used it for awhile untill I bought a mossberg 835 ulti mag. the 500 is great will handle up to a 3 inch mag, with the right choke it can be very deadly on a turkey to 30 yards. The 835 handles up to a 3.5 inch mag which gives ya a little more shot pellet and makes a 40 yard shot possible.
