how much land are you talking about? Use the fact that he moves to your advantage--be in a place where you can intercept the deer he jumps up--be in there before him--Hopefully if you guys get along at all you can coordinate. If the overall area you hunt has cosiderable pressure and/or the rut is on/or winding down then don't worry about the pissing the deer are gonna being moving anyway. Get in the nastiest out of the way place and wait--i know a lot of hunters that move and a lot that sit and they can all be successful.
