I feel your pain my friend. I had a similar time constraint problem a couple of years ago on a 160 class buck. You came closer than I did.

I don't think your move was dumb at all. You are almost in a "no win" situation when you find yourself on the ground, face to face with a buck blocking the one you want. Desperate times call for desperate measures. You didn't have a whole lot of options to try. I would guess that six was going to "make you" shortly, one way or the other. Hey, you made the best attempt you could under the circumstances you found yourself in... I know it does little to ease the pain, but at least you might stop the hemorrhaging. [&:]
