I'm not as lucky as you with having them in my "back yard," but I was in Oregon last month and had a great hunt. A sinus infection kept me from hunting as hard as I would have liked, but a buddy (first time chukar hunter) took six the first day. Beginners luck, I guess. I was there more for the valley quail, since my dogs and I had never hunted them before. Good luck this season... Chukars are a blast!
