I didn't want to risk not skinning the fox out perfectly, so I headed to the Tannery and had them skin it out for me. The taxidermist that I had talked to said he would take the fur raw, and tan it and mount it for me. The fella at the local tannery forgot that I told him I wanted it raw, and he already tossed it in the tanning solution. Instead of a 3-6 week turn on the full body mount, I'm looking at a 6 month turn on tanning, and another 3-6 months at the taxidermists. Ah well, patience is a virtue so they say.
