welcome Dukebh!! Ill try to give you the best answer I can, (I own 2 7mm Rem mags, and love both of them!!). First, if you want one cartridge to use on all 3 game, I would suggest something in the 160 gr area, Nosler partition is what I use, but Barnes, Speer, and Hornady all make good bullets. I assume you will be buying over the counter factory loads? Federal Premiums loaded with 160 gr Partiton, is what I used to shoot before I started reloading, in my guns they were the most accuate (yours may be different). The Federal 160's will take all of the game you mentioned, and do a great job, however I used to use a 140 gr bullet for deer, Winchester Silver tip Supremes (combined technology) I found the 160 partitons would not open up on deer if you didnt hit something solid i.e. bone. As far as kick, alot depends on the stock, and recoil pad of your rifle, I have a Ruger Mk II that doesnt kick too bad, my other is a Savage 110, it kicks a little more, mainly because of the Monte Carlo stock. The recoil charts I have seen list the 7mm around 24-26 lbs of recoil, most of your non magnum calibers 30-06,270 etc are in the mid to high teens. If I had to own only one gun (I own 7 deer caliber rifles) it would be the 7mm rem mag!!! Great choice!!!
