In our area, the Texas hill country, I am told that virtually all adult, healthy does get pregnant. somewhere between 80-90% will have fawns if nutrition is adequate. In cases of poor nutrition, some fawn are aborted/resorbed and some are born just to have their mother walk away from them in a self preservation instinct.
