When i started hunting my dad told me to always pick up my gun when someone walks up on me and I have a deer.

My uncle had just got back from Nam and he and my Dad went hunting. Right off the road my Uncle shot a buck. They went looking for it and they split up. When my Dad got back to my Uncle there were 2 guys there. One was field dressing and the other had my Uncle at gun point. When my Dad yelled at them they ran off.

My uncle told my Dad that he couldnt believe he was held at gunpoint over a deer when he just spent a year in Nam getting shot at on a regular basis.

A bad day hunting is better than a good day at work!
