By what you described I think you have a lethal hit. Looking at the pics I'm amazed at how far the deer went. The way you describe the end of the blood trail and the amount of blood lost I think he has to be near.

One thing I just can never get over is a whitetails will to live. It's absolutely incredible what an animal can do after a lethal hit. I wish I were closer so I could help with the search. I'm sure he down close, it's just finding him that's going to be the hard part.
