At the price and considering the grain size for deer they are worth a try. The failsafe is one heck of bullet and I might add can be bore picky! So make sure to shot them at the range to see how your gun likes them. I have seen a few mixed results from decent performance to pencil in/out on the likes of deer with the failsafe...but they will work if you put it in the right spot!

For the 06 I believe the managed recoil is offered in only 125gr's but if you compared that with standard 125 sp, MV is approx 500 fps slower in the 2600 range(according to their load data) with the managed recoil offering.
