I really don't understand why anyone would want to take a deer that they did not personally shoot ! Is it for the bragging rights ? I could not see bragging about something that I did not personally bag. If they were really that hard up for the meat, well, that's another story. Fastflight, I've seen your situation once before many years ago. A friend of mine got a deer, a group of us, 4, helped him trail it only to find another guy with its tag on it already. After a few heated words, my friend said OK you can have the dang deer and then proceeded to empty his rifle and 6 shooter into the dead deer. Viola !!! Swiss cheese !!!!!
