I have a chipaway knife, I don't think that I'd gut a deer with this one, 15" blade, and built in brass knuckles. The blade is good though, and it keeps a good edge during cutting stuff. If their blades are as consistent like other cutleries blades, then if your blade is shaped right for gutting, it should do you ok.
