At 50yds................you'll want your rifle to hit 1 to 2 inches high - so that your 100yd zero will be pretty close to the bullseye. If it's shooting higher than that, then turn the elevation knob in the down direction - probably 4 clicks for every 1/2 inch you want the hole to move. If it's shooting lower than that, then raise it the appropriate number of clicks.
The same applies to your windage adjustment. Run the knob to the "right" enough clicks to get the hole in-line with the bullseye..........again 4 clicks on the knob should = 1/2 inch at 50 yds with most scopes.
