CVA Kodiak
Well after all the negative posts that I have read regarding the TC Omega I decided to buy the CVA Kodiak with the nickel barrel instead. All I can say is what a gun!
I spent about 5 hours at the range the other day with it and I have never shot a more accurate gun.
I tried various combos and totally hated 777 in it. Though my groups were very good with 777, I really had to scrub the barrel in between EVERY shot. A wet patch was not sufficient.
Pyrodex on the other hand was much better, I still ran a patch down the barrel after every shot, but that's just because I'm anal like that.
Anyhow, I found that 295 gr. PB with 100 gr. of Pyrodex turned the gun into an absolute dream to shoot. I was literally shooting overlapping holes at 100 yds.
The gun has a very comfortable stock that handles recoil very nicely.
It's easy to clean and you just gotta love the break open breech system. So if you folks need a new in-line and don't want to break the bank, the CVA Kodiak at around $300 is simply an amazing gun.
