Default RE: What a difference quality LAND makes to hunting

What you are saying is exactly why I now want to stay in Nebraska instead of moving back to Pennsylvania where my folks and sisters live (2 of the 4, anyway). For the first five years that we lived here, before I got back into hunting, I longed to get back to the east coast and family. Then three years ago I started hunting on my property and now also on a friend's farm. Like you do now, Atlasman, I see deer every time I go out. Now I tell my wife that not only am I content living here, but I don't want to move back to PA. Not because there aren't deer there, all the PA hunters on this board are proving that there are, but because I have never seen the number or size of deer there that I see here in Nebraska. Of course, she laughs at me and says that deer hunting is thicker than blood in my life. I told her it's my blood that made me a deer hunter. My dad understands. Location, Location, Location!!!

The funny thing is it's a farm in the burbs and I can see the 1/2 million dollar and up homes from my stand, as the trees lose more leaves.
Badatta, I hunt the burbs as well. I love it. Some people just don't realize the wealth of big bucks that have adapted and now hide safely (so they think ) in the small woodlots of the burbs. That's how they got big, I guess. No one hunted them, until now.
