Best round for your 30-30? Answer: Whatever shoots best in your particular rifle.

What you're using is a good round for deer hunting. Personally, I've always preferred
the 170gr bullets, believing they might give a little better penetration. I used the
Remington 170gr. Core-Lokt Soft Point, and another that was very accurate in my
Marlin was the Federal Premium load using the 170gr. Nosler Partition bullet.
