Default RE: You aren't a "hunter"

I'll tell you, ARanger, I feel for you man. I respect what you have given our country. I came out of the Marine Corps 16 years ago, and I too, had all the answers.

See, you see things so clearly now in your youth and exuberance, but the day's going to come when you're going to reflect back on the day you slapped in this "You aren't a hunter" nonsense, and you're just going to blush with shame. At least I hope so, because if you never reach that level of self-awareness you'll really be a sorry individual.

Let me parody your post to try to kind of steer you in the right direction.

(Okay let's see, my last successful hunt was on September 24th. Okay...)

ANYBODY WHO DOESN'T HUNT ON SEPTEMBER 24TH IS A MORON! YOU'RE NOT EVEN A TRUE HUNTER IF YOU STAY OUT OF THE WOODS ON THAT DAY!

(Umm, and I was using a bow that day.)

ANYBODY WHO KILLS AN ANIMAL WITH ANY WEAPON OTHER THAN A BOW IS A MORON! IF YOU HAD SKILLS AT ALL YOU WOULD NOT NEED A RIFLE OR A MUZZLELOADER!

(And, oh yeah, I was wearing Microtex camo that day. And I used a Hoochie Mama cow call.)

ANYBODY WHO DOESN'T WEAR MICROTEX CAMO OR USE A HOOCHIE MAMA COW CALL IS A MORON! I'M GOING TO START A CLASS TO TEACH OTHER PEOPLE TO PUT ON CAMO THE RIGHT WAY AND HOW TO CORRECTLY SQUEEZE A HOOCHIE MAMA COW CALL.

I could go on, but I'll stop for everybody's sake. Do you see my point? We just get inundated on these discussion boards with people drawing some arbitrary line in the sand based on their own unique experience, then calling every one else who doesn't share this experience a moron. Basically, it all rises from a combination of insecurity and testosterone, and we could probably do with less of it in this case.
