Default RE: What's your longest DBL Lung Recovery?

ORIGINAL: wideone

Where my buddy hunts they have super deer. The things won't die. I helped him track one two years ago. It went around and around that forest forever. We found it after hundreds of yards travelled. Perfect dbl lunger. Last year, same thing with a young buck, shot appeared perfect but took us forever to find it. Sunday afternoon he calls me, made a shot on a deer and can't find him. Of course I'm not surprised given the superdeer genetics those things must have. Couldn't help him due to kids Halloween stuff. He tracked it for ever back and forth through the creek and timber, never found him. By the way, this buddy is the best shot I've ever seen. Won or placed second in state games for years. He joked that he was going to start shooting them in the head from now on.
If this happened to me that often I would definitely experiment with different broadheads. An arrow-shot deer bleeds to death. Bleeding is caused by the broadhead. Try something different.
