I am convinced that I will be putting out some scent this week.

I was on stand last night...very windy (up to 25mph) and raining sideways. It slowed down right at sunset. As usual the deer activity picked up.

Saw a large log that had fallen over a trail and toppled tree so it was like a teeter totter. Thought to myself that I need to fix that once the season is over. Keep in mind this looks to be at least 20 ft long.

I happened to galnce over, and the thing was moving up and down like mad. Sure enough, I looked harder and there was one of the larger 8's I have seen spreading his scent all over the place. So the time is certainly close, and I think it is worth a shot to get some scent out there.
