Depending on where you are at you can do several things. We have a boat blind that we use on large lakes and all we use is the military camo in dark green. It looks like the water I suppose, and we generally are anchored or tied to trees off the bank. In that situation all we need is the netting. However we also have a blind on a lake and we use oak and cedar branches to camoflage it. It is on a point and has trees all behind it so the oak and cedar blends with the background. I would recommend putting the netting on and then covering it with brush that surrounds your blind like you said. You can never get enough camo. Put some on, go look at it from a distance, and keep brushing until all you see is brush and nothing else discernable. Wind and weather will knock off brush during the season so putting extra on will pay off later.
