RE: Looking for Easterns on the west side of WA
Thanks, LGH. I'll check into those spots. I've only lived here for 1 1/2 years, so I am not familiar with a lot of areas around Olympia. I did look the Summit Lake area up on Terraserver, and there is a ton of public land to the south. I've heard about the Capitol Forest, but I've never been there. I guess I'll make a road trip here in the next few weeks to look over some of these spots. Would you be willing to find out more specifically where the birds were spotted in Capitol Forest so that I can have a starting point? It would be a big help. You can just shoot me an e-mail. I may go next week for a yote/cougar hunt and do some scouting too.
