RE: Looking for Easterns on the west side of WA
Fort Lewis is a BIG place and it's like looking for a Methlab in a haystack!!! Stay clear of this wierd place! My uncle used to live on Summit lake out of Oly. and has sited birds around on surrounding F.S.lands while Coyote hunting and on private parcels near the lake. Give this place a try before the season to see if you can gain permission. Also check out the Black lake area (just s. of Oly off I-5) also. Now my Uncle lives in the heart of REAL Turkey country in N.E. Wa. out of Kettle Falls! Gobble, gobble!
