gosh i can't stand you people who say to be nice and give it back. maybe bring some cookies with it. im sure he'll appreciate it. The stand is on your land, and its not yours or anyone who hunts with you. IT NOW BELONGS TO YOU! It's that simple! Keep it for yourself or make it so it can never be used again. Calling the cops? what good are they in situations like this? We got pukes like this all the time at our place in iowa. we've called the DNR, but they can't do much about it. This year so far, i've taken down or destroyed 6 stands. i found one portable that they hung and had a ladder on their side of the fence. now, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out what was going on there. teach them a lesson:tresspass and hang stands, and you'll be heading for the store for some new ones. With people like this, you have to be forceful. leaving a note isn't going to help very much at all. I dont see how somebody can "mistakenly" hop over a line fence and hang a stand and not know they're tresspassing.

For those of you who have done this, i have no pity. Would you like it if i went into your house and set a up a bed to sleep in? Study your plat book before you go hang stands.

I'm sorry if i come off sounding like a jerk, but when you've had as many people tresspassing and poaching as we have, it gets to the point where you have to do unkind things to stop these slobs.
