RE: Bowstrings.
O.K I didn't want to come out and say it, but I go years betweens string changes (back in the good old days when I could shoot all I wanted - in the last few years my bows haven't gotten any mileage on them but I am not counting that. Sometimes I think Winner's Choice has part ownership in this site, and I don't like to come out and say stuff like "Hey, run your string for years". Last night I was watching Burley Hall's tape on winning 3D. He mentioned that when he instals servings using his process, he sometimes gets as much as a year's shooting from them. Last time I checked it was hell changing strings under the serving... The implication was that he was going to re-serve at that point, not chuck the string, before you know it another year has gone by. This was kind of back in the days ('95) when a lot of 3D shooters were shooting 80#, and making 310+. Burley used to run a pro shop, and so whatever comp gear he may have got from HCA, I think he still knew what a regular person could expect.
