I suppose for .22s and the like a Simmons is "ok", though for scopes in that "class range" the Tasco World Class would suffice and is cheaper. I would rather see someone spend the cheap money on a Tasco, Bushnell, Alpen etc than pay a few more dollars for the "nothingness" they get with Simmons. I know it will piss a bunch of guys off in here, but personally I think the ONLY thing worse than seeing "Simmons" on the side of an optic is that of having "BSA" on it.

On a completely sidenote, every scope maker has a "tactical" series and happily advertises such. When have you ever actually SEEN a military/law enforcement officer with equipment like Tasco, Simmons, BSA etc...? I know many and NONE of them use any such sort of equipment on stuff designed to be used in life or death situations.
