they're coming to the horns in kansas
hey fellas,
just got in from an evening hunt. at 5:45 pm i grunted and thrashed my horns on the tree branches then tickled them.... waited a minute or so and smashed them. did a short series and grabbed my bow (already have learned this lesson) not 10 seconds later i hear brush being torn up. crunch....crunch...crunch... I see horns. he stops at 50 yards and works on a tree. then he commits.... walks right in stiff legged and bristled up. i let him come on in as i see he isn't the deer i am after. he is a nice 2 1/2 8pt. likely in the 120s. g2 broken and g1 kinda small on his right side. he didn't stick around long. if he doesn't change his ways he wont see next deer season haha
man i love rattling in deer.
good huntin'
