Don't get too exited its a small 9, but the droptine was really neat. It capped off a long and wild day of hunting.

Saw nothing from my location this morning, was really windy. Decided to scout some midday. Had a BIG buck chase 2 does past me but i couldn't get a shot and couldn't call him off them. I went down the woods a little further and set up on the ground, and had a REALLY nice 6 pt come within 10 yds of me. Back in stand in the evening I had 5 does scoot off behind me, so i called(grunt & can call) thinking a buck was on them and from the opposite direction comes a does with my buck in tow. I see he's not quite size wise a shooter for me. But then after he passes my lane I see the drop tine. So then I am kicking my self, because he started looking a little bigger and had the drop tine. Well off goes the doe and he follows, calling did nothing. Moments after they leave I turn around and see 2 huge gobblers(today is turkey season opener) So I make some calls to them and they start swinging behind me. Just as I was spinning around to the other side of the tree, I see that drop tine is back, and already thru what I thought was my last opening. Well he catches the estrous I had out and swings a little closer and stops, giving me just enough opening at his vitals. The arrow found its mark, just a tad forward and dropped him in his tracks.
