Default Idaho Turkey Hunting

I have been living/hunting in Boise, Idaho for the last five years and have been successful in taking Deer, waterfowl and upland game. This year however I am going to try turkey hunting. Does anyone have any experience hunting turkeys in Idaho? If so, can you suggest a region that holds a sizable population of birds that I can scout. Also, any tips that you can provide that would increase my odds of harvesting a bird would be appreciated. I have purchased a box call and mouth call (The limbhanger by Primos) and am practicing with them. Which one do you think I should go with? I have heard beginners should stick with the box call just because it is easier and you lessen the chance of producing a bad note.
Thanks for you help.
