I also had the old simmons 8 point scope. However i had problems with mine. I had one and it would not stay lined up on my 270. i returned it and got another one and it worked fine for about a month while shooting it and one morning i missed a nice buck at about 70 yards and couldnt figure out why. Came home and shot it and it was shooting off by about 2 feet to the left. I adjusted it untill it was dead on at 100 yards. i shot it 2 more time and then it was off again. I will never buy another 8 point scope. I bought mine from wal-mart. Im sure that all of them cant be as bad as the 2 i had but i sure had a bad experience and it cost me a good buck too.
