RE: I would rather spend $500
if i understand you correctly you're going to have to get the rest off of the bow and heat that screw area with a lighter until the glue melts a bit to get it out. or you could take a drill with a metal bit a bit smaller than the hole the screw goes into and drill it out the same way you would if the head of the screw came off, however if you're not an expert at this you could damage the receptor threads the screw uses to bite. that sucks. i would not under any condition go back in that shop. what makes you think it'll get done right the 2nd time, or third? you need to go look and find a good shop, and in the meantime start learning how to do your own work imo. if i remember correctly the tt uses the black rope that is the same as loop rope. go buy a foot at a different shop and take the rest and ask the person if they have a screw that will fit. i've done it in the past and they usually have all kinds of spairs. the tt website has very detailed installation instructions and tuning tips that i'm sure you can follow. you will need a press or string separator though, or you can just serve it on the cable. good luck. its really not worth raising a stink about with the shop imho. they already proved they are rear ends. wwag (walkswithagimp) makes a press that is easy to use and very affordable. good luck there brother.
